Mother's Day Quotation
Any Perfect Mothers Out There?
My mom's not perfect. Neither is my mother-in-law. It's not easy being a mum. My mom got married when she was sixteen. Barely an adult. Not long after her wedding, she decided that married life didn't suit her after all, so she ran away back home to her parents. They sorted her out quick and sent her right back to her new husband. Although she didn't like it, she had to grow up.
No, mum's not perfect, but she did what she could. I'll never forget castor oil and how she shoved it down my mouth! To me it was torture - to mom it was love. So here's today's Mother's Day message:
“The most important thing she’d learned over the years was that there was no way to be a perfect mother and a million ways to be a good one.”
Jill Churchill
God bless mothers everywhere!
