Mother's Day Quotation
Stay At Home Moms
My mother loved to shop. Her six childrten gave her plenty of excuses to go shopping. Mom loved to buy pretty clothes, sweet-smelling soaps and fine dusting powder. She loved to dress us up for parties, she loved to play the piano, she loved to draw pictures of roses, and she loved to bake. The kitchen was always full of wonderful smells which I will never forget.
Mom married when she was sixteen and she never worked outside of the home. Dad took care of providing for all of us. He worked long hours every day and we hardly ever saw him. Mum missed him and was lonely, so she filled her days with fussing over the children. She was a traditional mother, embodied in the following quotation for Mother's Day:
“Women know the way to rear up children (to be just). They know a simple, merry, tender knack of tying sashes, fitting baby-shoes, and stringing pretty words that make no sense. And kissing full sense into empty words.”
